Group Classes

Reactive Dogs (NEW!!)

Is your dog's barking during walks embarrassing you? Do you dread walking your dog? You're not alone. On-leash barking and lunging is more common than you think. This class is designed specifically for dogs that are fearful or bark on leash. We will be using training techniques unique for this situation and work on redirection and proactive behavior. We will replace unwanted behaviors such as barking, lunging, stalling, or growling for more positive behaviors. During the course, dogs will learn attention skills and rehearse self-control around other dogs in a control setting.

Note: This course requires either 2 private lessons or instructor's approval to enroll. There is a four dog maximum for this class.

NOTE: Dog's do NOT attend 1st class!

Pint-Size Pups (NEW!!) (6 months + older)

Have you ever heard the song, "I'm little but I'm loud, I'm short but I'm proud"? Well, this class was designed specifically for the small dogs who think just that. This class will cover how to prevent common behaviors that small dogs tend to develop such as barking, leash reactivity, resource guarding (including owners), running away and more. We will also discuss how to teach them positive behaviors such as jumping into their carrier, picking them up, self-control, and relinquishing distractions such as dogs, people, mail man and noises. If you have a small pup who is big at heart, this is the class for you!

NOTE: Dog's do NOT attend 1st class!

Agility I & II

Agility is a sport that builds confidence, as well as the bond between dog and handler. Agility can be great for bringing shy dog out of their shell, and it gives rambunctious dogs a job to do to channel that extra energy.

Beginner agility covers the basic handling skills, and dogs learn to navigate the obstacles with confidence. Positive, motivational techniques are use to teach all skills. All dogs should know sit, down and have a recall. This class is open to dogs of all ages.

Intermediate agility builds on the skills taught in the beginner class. Handlers will continue with small courses and learn how to use the tools learned during class to handle courses on their own. This course will introduce jump work, so it is recommended that dogs be at least one year old (unless intructor approval given).
